title: Dajinosaurus

Sharing a birthday with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins, Tommy Lee, Steve Reich, Gore Vidal,Thomas Wolfe, Charles J. Pedersen (chemist) and Carl von Ossietzky (German pacifist, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize) would go a long way towards characterizing guitarist David Wright's brand of fusion music. Combining creative, energetic, passionate, technical and sensitive elements this New England native has spent years forging his own personal, expressive musical voice, which has been described as "The lyricism of Jeff Beck with the musical stylings of Allan Holdsworth" .

Dajinosaurus is the long awaited debut recording from this talented guitarist/composer. "I am really happy with the album", states David. "Nob and I have been really busy putting the finishing touches on this disc". The disc features 19 David Wright compositions featuring a tight dynamic live band consisting of Drummer Jim Bove and 6 String Midi Bassist Nob Kinukawa (Dave Weckl, Mick Goodrich). Choosing not to do a 'live in the studio' trio recording (which David had done previously) this album features some multi-layered guitar and bass tracks for fullness and enhancement. Currently David is pursuing promotional opportunities for "Dajinosaurus" including performances in Europe as well as his current residence of the Bay Area, Northern California.

After years of performing experience including pit orchestras, jazz clubs, concert venues, studio work, coffee shops, live radio and a few TV specials as well as in bands that have opened up for or shared the stage with The Commitments, Eddie Rabbit, The Average White Band, Dread Zepplin, Mojo Nixon, Jaci Velasquez, Helen Baylor and Pat McGuire, David decided it was time to pursue the music that got him interested in playing guitar seriously in the first place. "I think it was Mike Stern's solo on 'Fat Time' (MIles Davis - 'The man with the horn') that really got me excited what was possible in fusion guitar, the energy, creative, chops, everything really,..." states David. Staring guitar in early high school he absorbed as much as possible, before being accepted into the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston where he was able to develop and cultivate all the skills necessary to function as a high caliber musician. Now with the release of Dajinosaurus, David is ready to pursue his unique music full time, "At this point I have over 60 original compositions I think are good and want to record with high quality musicians, so I'm really excited to get going,...".
